On Dec. 4, 2008 we participated in the high school Art Festival. We performed a play called “The Cinderella Slipper”, a modified version of the original Cinderella.

We prepared for over a month on this performance, and although there were some difficulties, the performance was a success. Our performers were: Lillian Ma, Sunny Chau, Thomas Xie, Andy Lin, Big Sethasuphang, Hannah Wang, Ailleen Lo, Arica Huang, Victor Wang, John Chen, Kelly Wang, Eric Wang, Nick Yang, Winston Chen, Alex Wang, Frank Song, Joey Yang and Julie Li. They all did a great job.

The most important thing is that we all had fun together making the play a success. We made our own costumes, created our own dance choreography for the scene where Cinderella met the Prince at the ball, recorded our own sound score to go along with the play, and two of our members, Kelly and Eric, controlled the lights for us backstage. We all contributed our ideas to make the play funnier and more enjoyable so that the play performed on stage was quite different from the original Cinderella.

Everyone was nervous when it was time to go on stage, but afterward, we all felt great. This is one high school memory that we will never forget.
